Project Overview
Hangar One Avionics, Inc. proudly completed the mission-configured Airbus AS350B3 helicopter for the Albuquerque Police Department. This aircraft was customized for law enforcement observation and tactical missions—outfitted with enhanced avionics, communications, and video systems to support high-stakes aerial operations in Albuquerque and the surrounding region.
The build features a full-width instrument panel and aft center console designed by Hangar One, paired with a full suite of Garmin avionics including G500H TXi displays, GFC600H flight control, radar altimeter, ADS-B transponder, and traffic advisory systems. The aircraft is also equipped with advanced communication systems, multi-band tactical radios, and a FLIR Star Safire 380HDc camera system, along with mapping, downlink, and multiple video display units. Additional enhancements include NVIS cockpit lighting, a Trakkabeam searchlight system, custom strobe packages, and multiple airframe upgrades for durability, crew safety, and mission performance. This next-generation build ensures Albuquerque PD is equipped for critical response and long-term operational success.
